QRes for Windows:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR QRES ON WINDOWS 95, 98, Me, NT4.0 & 2000

1. Right-click on the start menu and choose the Open command.

2. Double-click on the Programs folder and then double-click on the Laureate folder.

3. Right-click on one of the programs and choose Properties. This should bring up a window.

4. Click on the QRes tab. If an alert box comes up when you click on the tab you need to click OK and delete a set of quotes in highlighted text.

Note: If there is no tab then you need to run the file "Qres1090.EXE" from the directory in which you downloaded it to and restart the machine when prompted.

5. Click on the circle next to Enable QRes. The rest on the boxes should now be selectable.

6. Uncheck the box that says, "Do not change color" and then make sure the box to the left says 256 colors.

7. Make sure the slider under Desktop Area is set to 800 by 600 pixels.

8. Make sure that there is a check mark in the box next to "Restore screen mode after program finishes".

9. Click OK to close the window and run the program as normally would.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR QRES ON WINDOWS XP

1. Right-click on the start menu and choose the Open All Users command.

2. Double-click on the Programs folder and then double-click on the Laureate folder.

3. Right-click on one of the programs and choose Properties. This should bring up a window.

4. Click on the QRes tab. If an alert box comes up when you click on the tab you need to click OK and delete a set of quotes in highlighted text.

Note: If there is no tab then you need to run the file "Qres1090.EXE" from the directory in which you downloaded it to and restart the machine when prompted.

5. Click on the circle next to Enable QRes. The rest on the boxes should now be selectable.

6. Uncheck the box that says, "Do not change color" and then make sure the box to the left says 256 colors.

7. Make sure the box that says; "Do not change desktop area" is checked. This should make the slider to the left unelectable.

8. Make sure that there is a check mark in the box next to "Restore screen mode after program finishes".

9. Click OK to close the window and run the program as normally would.

Note: After the colors change the Task bar and Title bar will not look correct. This is normal because XP does not handle 8-bit color well.
